Giovanni studied computer science with a concentration in AI and Machine Learning at Duke University. He is focused on building Octane on a leave of from the University. He is passionate for building reliable infrastructure and creating technical solutions. His experience includes designing and implementing backend APIs, frontend design components, relational database structures, large data pipelines, distributed services, smart contracts and blockchain infrastructure. Previously, he was a founding engineer at Mural where he set the foundations for their backend design and signed multiple customers. He was also the CTO of subtractive where he scaled the blockchain consulting wing from $0 in revenue to $2,000,000 in revenue. Further, he was the president of Duke Blockchain Lab, where he founded the university's DAO to support and fund innovation on campus. He also taught a Duke-credited course on blockchain development in Javascript and Solidity to students and raised $100,000 for the 2023 Web3 Duke Blockchain conference.

Devin is the Chief ML Officer at Octane. He has been working on machine learning projects for 7 years. Devin started in computer vision and published papers at the Stanford University School of Medicine and the Duke University Neurotoolbox Lab. He has worked at some of the hottest AI startups, including AiFi and SuperbAI, and across many domains including MLOps, autonomous driving, and autonomous retail. His expertise is in applications that use reinforcement learning, computer vision, and language models. At Octane, Devin works on building new security tools from the ground up with ML.

Nathan is a co-founder of Octane Security. Prior to founding Octane, Nathan worked as an auditor and offensive security researcher at OtterSec and as a security researcher on the elite Unit 42 team at Palo Alto Networks. Nathan is a Duke Cyber Cup champion, University Scholar, and fellow at the Wired laboratory. At Duke University, Nathan led research on blockchain security and tunably efficient PIR using homomorphic encryption.
